Already managing 50% more projects.
A growing Google Sheet had become difficult to navigate. Grosse Pointe Renovation and Repair now uses Planner, the scheduling system within Flow, to coordinate work through crew, two-week, and three-month views, with more team members entering and monitoring tasks.
The company’s schedule had outgrown its Google Sheet. The team needed a clearer view of crew assignments and the months ahead, with essential information easier to find.
Planner brings crew, two-week, and three-month views together within Flow. Team members can enter and monitor tasks themselves, giving the scheduler more time for other responsibilities while keeping the information she needs readily available.
Visibility into double bookings, vacations, unavailable staff, and subcontractor assignments helps the scheduler plan with confidence. Proficiency checks help prevent assigning someone to work they aren’t qualified to perform.
The scheduler is already managing 50% more projects while gaining time for other responsibilities. Clearer visibility and shared task management give the team room to grow.
Hours of holiday work reduced to 5–10 minutes.
A legacy ERP built around fixed Monday–Friday delivery patterns required manual intervention when holiday closures and weekend deliveries changed the schedule. The new orchestration moves orders, sets the correct picking dates, and switches critical business processes automatically.
The legacy ERP expects delivery days and dates to remain fixed from Monday through Friday. During the holidays, the business may be closed on a weekday and open for weekend deliveries. Staff had to move orders, adjust picking dates, and turn critical business processes on and off at the right times. Preparing for each holiday took a few hours, followed by another 5–10 minutes of manual work every day during the holiday period.
Automation was added to the existing business system to move orders, set the correct picking dates, and toggle production modes and other critical processes according to the holiday delivery schedule.
The entire holiday setup now takes 5–10 minutes. After that, the orchestration handles the scheduled changes, removing the manual weekend toggles and their potential failure points. No one has to miss time over the holidays to manage this process.
At least one hour of supervisor time saved every day.
A live, product-first view of packable orders replaced a manually maintained whiteboard and gave the packing team the information it needed to work efficiently throughout the day.
After upgrading to new packing stations, the business discovered that orders could only be sorted by customer. The packing workflow, however, was organized by product for efficiency. Packers needed to know which customers had ordered the product currently being packed, which meant remembering more than 150 orders or opening and closing each order individually.
A supervisor manually updated a whiteboard about an hour before packing began. It gave the team a product-first view, but the information quickly became outdated as work was completed and late orders arrived.
A Power Query-driven workbook pulls orders from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and organizes them into tabs by product group, then sorts each tab by product and delivery route. It refreshes every five minutes, so the team can print an up-to-date packing list throughout the day or display the dashboard in the packing room for a near-real-time view of every packable order.
Using the delivery route as the priority lets packers stage products for the same route on the same racks. That makes completed orders easier to verify and reduces the risk of cases being missed during loading.
The dashboard saves at least one hour of supervisor time each day, gives packers a clear view of the work still ahead, and reduces the opportunities for mispacked products and missed cases.
A customer’s computer had been compromised, and her email and accounting software logins had been exposed and exploited. We performed a clean Windows installation to give her a fresh start and help rebuild confidence in her computer, so she could feel comfortable using it again and move forward with her work.
A MacBook Pro could no longer detect its internal storage. After troubleshooting and installing a replacement SSD, the Mac booted successfully.
